Here's the scenario: you have to choose one of the cars below. It would be your only car for two years. It would be brand new with warranty. All are AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION ONLY, and only 2WD.
1. Mitsubishi Mirage
2. Honda CR-V
3. Toyota Venza
4. Jeep Compass
5. Fiat 500L
6. Nissan Versa sedan
Since I actually like the Mirage I'm going to force myself to pick one of the others. Even with the warranty I'd hesitate on the 500l, because who wants to be taking it constantly to the shop to be fixed? I think I'd reluctantly have to take the Compass.

Either the Venza or the CRV, because they are more reliable and available with a sunroof.

Venza. Most practical. Beige camouflage blends in.

Venza.
Was on the purchase list before we bought the Edge.

I like the 500 because it's the most unique of the bunch. I'd also make sure the dealer I'm getting it from covers loaners. Though I could probably work something out for a loaner with the dealership I work at, since no car = no work.

Probably the Toyota. I secretly want to be beige to see what it's like.

It probably comes down to the CRV and Venza for me.
The Mirage just isn't a very good car.
The Fiat is ugly as sin.
The Compass is rather blah to me.
The Versa would have Nissan's CVT which is AWFUL.
That leaves the Venza and CRV. Personal preference for Hondas over Toyotas dictates I choose the CRV.

Going with the Venza. Looked at the Fiat 500 but I saw one of these sitting next to the regular model and boy, is it bloated.

Is death an option? If not, the Venza Limited because they're pretty nice.

Toyota Venza, If im going that route at least I'll make the most of it, The venza seems comfy enough, reliable as a Toyota and well, to me its better looking than the CRV.
Mirage and Versa are good cars, but damn do they look cheap.
PLease, stay away from that jeep, its like buying an iPhone 3g right now.

The roommate picked the CR-V.
I picked the Mirage, because I hate myself.

Venza, no doubt.
Not everything is a racecar. Camry based so you can plan your next scheduled maintenance around 2025.

Venza. Looks nice enough, would be comfortable, tied for most practical/functional with the CRV. Compass and 500L too objectionable. Versa sedan too sedany. Mirage too small to put lots of stuff in.

I guess the CRV? It's boring, but it's certainly not a bad car...

Venza. While it's a bit boring, and a bit terrible, and not a strong seller, it's the nicest of the bunch. That or the CR-V.

ANYTHING BUT THE NISSAN VERSA!!!!!!!!! Are modifications allowed as long as the car remains 2WD and auto? I am sure the 500L could take an abarth engine so at least it would sound cool. Maybe convert the CRV to RWD (still would be 2wd) and turbo the shit out of it. Maybe an LS swap... Warranty be damned!

I’m going with the Venza, hoping to get the hybrid model.
A few years back I was sitting at a red light at MLK and 5th Ave. N. in St. Petersburg, Florida, when I saw one of those coming at me in my lane, head-on, at maybe 60-70 MPH. I thought he was going to hit me but at the light he made an up-on-two-wheels right turn through the red, a lot faster than you’d think a big tall car like that could do, and he floored it and took off to the West, and a couple seconds later a pair of police cars, flashing and howling, chased after him. It was pretty impressive, like something on teevee!

Haha@this list. What is your prefered method of torture?
Luckily there’s an out in this list of crap: the Venza. It’s actually not too bad, for what it is. Very comfortable highway cruiser, good power from the six, well equipped.
